His name will be shown in full on the index..........you will have his age on the marriage cert, which should help you to determine which birth reg'n is correct. |

If it says Charles on the marriage cert then that is probably what the birth was registered under. |

It is definitely the right cert because the bride is correct....and she is on the main family line. |

The marriage certificate should be the correct one, the A was probably an error when the index was compiled. |

I have a bridegroom who shows up as Frederick A Standen on the indexes, but is down as Frederick Charles on the marriage cert. Which of these is more likely to be correct please? |
