Thanks Christine and Ozbird, the date I have been given for his birth is 5th march, so that sounds like it Ozbird, I still cant figure out why if he was born William why he would say Thomas on daughters BC, I think I will now look for a marriage of a William Prest to an Esther, because the 1 I found was a Thomas and Esther, maybe I have the wrong couple. |

Thats them Margret, I have them on 1881 1891 1901, BUT dont know which name to look under for earlier census, I would like to pin it down if I can before I order more certs, because as I said I got 2 marriage certs of the wrong William. |

I have a gt gt uncle Reubin Thomas, also called Thomas Rubin or just Thomas or just Ruebin (spelt different ways). He had a brother Charles whose 2nd name was, I think Henry. His names were also interchangeable. Most frustrating. |

He is known as William on 1881, 1891 and 1901, I haven't managed to tie him down on earlier census, what is consistent is he is born in Ripon Yorkshire. |

Yes Chris the childrens birth and the parents are all in the bible, I have only sent for 1 BC up to now, Jane's and that is correct date, but says father Thomas Prest. |
