Thomas Morton married Elizabeth Morton (formerly Morton). Thomas father Andrew born about 1790 Ellingham, Northumberland, married Ann ? Cannot find any records relating to marriage or Andrew's birth. Religion N.C.. Elizabeth religion C of E. born and married Belford Northumberland. Grandparents Andrew and Isabella (born Chatton about 1776). His occupation was blacksmith but died around 1839. Have possibly found Children of Andrew and Isabella being christened catholics in Berwick upon Tweed. Is it likely that they would change religions? Don't know where else to look for either of the Andrews. |
