Hi Margaret!

It's chillier than that here!!

Paul ..... if he's going to jasper, it's in the Rockies.

Could be cold

Probably will still be snow at least up on the mountains. Temperatures could be 0 or below, especially at night.

He should take stuff to layer ......... like a sweater, fleecy, or such. Plus a windproof, waterproof jacket.

The train trip to the coast is great. And .... the trains are warm!

Paul, no use asking Sylvia about the weather in Canada, she's in Lotusland, I believe.
I'm in a different part of Canada and it's snowing like crazy right now. My snowdrops that usually bloom mid-March are still under about 6 feet of snow!
Having said that, just watched the weather forecast, a sunny weekend with temp of 11 on Sat. and 13 on Sun. That's celsius.

Paul

He said he's going to jasper and a train trip west.

Hi Paul

depends on where your mate is going.

Out here on the West Coast, it will be about 10 to 15C, probably damp (we get a lot of rain!!)

Elsewhere .......... it will be like very early spring, anywhere from 0 to 10 or 15C.

In the Rockies, mountainous areas, and up north, there is likely to be still snow around.

So he will need some warm clothes, a waterproof jacket, and good shoes (not just sandals.

ErikaH Report 4 Apr 2008 21:32

Sorry, Paul, but the 1901 census contradicts that theory.....she called herself Woodward and said she was a widow.

There's no guarantee that William Woodward was dead when she took up with John Flynn.........and where was HE in 1901?

Paul

Paul Report 4 Apr 2008 21:31

There's a marriage of Elizabeth A. Woodward to John Flynn in South Shields but not until 1919. That's much too late isn't it?
