I had not thought of that senario, it all make sense now I and the great grandson of a name changing bigamist. If however he joined the Army how much information would Thomas have had to give ? |

Well the only other thing I can think of now is to hope William wasn't lost in the war and go through the deaths page by page and see if and when he died. |

Not sure of that William was married to Fanny Swain and hat Stanley Brewerton as a son. Dont know if that helps. |

We have got Thomas death and marriage certificates. I have alook under the spelling of emma surname again and see if I can find it. |

Yes Rowena it looks that way. Perhaps the Brewertons didn't want the kids as their son had died so wanted no more to do with the family could be they didn't agree with her remarrying. |
