Thomas Brewerton is baffling my boyfriends family! Thomas Brewerton was born in September 1886 (we think around the 13th) in or around the Bradford area. But there seems to be no record of his birth. I have tried searching Brewerton and I have also tried searching under Hesling which is his mother maiden. We believe his parents are Henry Brewerton (Thomas put down Henry Brewerton on his marriage cert) and Emma Hesling. We know that Henry died when Thomas was quite young and the age of 15 Thomas went to York / Tadcaster area because he mother remarried and didn't want to know her children. |

Are you sure he wasn't in the army in WW1? There is record for a Thomas Brewerton on Ancestry - married Annie Lazenby; children Florence Mary and Thomas. |

Are these his parents in 1891 only Thomas isn't there. Could he perhaps lied about his age at sometime or even forgot it. |
