I think it is 5b 1378.

From information from Denise's friend who is the one all this is for - Jean had two children under the name Else - Carol in 1953 and Lesley in 1955. I have found their births. There were apparently twin boys around 1960 but not sure which surname they were under or their first names. Then there was Jennifer and Susan as Brendon between about 1961 and 1966. I haven't been able to find twins under Else or Brendon and neither have I found Jennifer and Susan under Brendon.

It is making me wonder whether Brendon is the right name.

The only Smith/Else marriage I could find was in 1947 between an Arthur Else and an Iris M Smith and that was in Sheffield.

I have suggested to Denise's friend that she re-checks the information she has been given as I just cannot believe I cant find a bean on this Brendon name - which makes me think the name is wrong. Perhaps it is Brandon or Brennan or something.

Or they didn't marry in England and Wales....

Ancestry is definately on a 'GO SLOW' must be doing maintenance or something

Well I will carry on later - hopefully things will sort themselves out soon. Going to make my dinner!!

mother lived at whistable road, canterbury at time of birth

What year was the Else child born?

hi lots of different children with different surnames yet it says mothers name jean smith. but one child was given the birth surname of ELSE

Brendon isn't a common surname.

Is Else another married name?

Nothing up to 1983 now for sure!

Ok - well I have also searched 1980 and looking now in 1981 - and have searched the post 1984 ones and no Smith-Brendon marriages or Brendon-Skinner ones on there.
