Looking for Thomas Watson who had a shop of some sort (believed to be in the Norfolk area) in the early 1900's. |

And you don't know what the S is for? How do you know he was born 1896? |

The problem with death data is, the info is only as good as the informant believed it to be... IE if the informant believed him to be 60, 60 it is, whether it's right or wrong It's not exact!!. |

He was 29 on the marriage cert, which does tie-in with the fact that he should be born 1896. |
WayneTracey | Report | 6 Sep 2009 22:43 |
was he married before or after his 29th birthday? |
Keith | Report | 6 Sep 2009 22:45 |
He was married 3rd March 1926 (i.e. before birthday), so 29 looks right for 1896 |
WayneTracey | Report | 6 Sep 2009 22:48 |
That makes him born 1898? (1897, my brain has just imploded) |
Keith | Report | 6 Sep 2009 23:01 |
If he was 28 why would the cert say 29? |

Another snippet of info that I am not sure whether it helps is that I know he was in jail for 6 months or so in 1928 or 1929 in the Nottingham area. |

It seems like saddler was a family trade. If you search the 1881 for Watson, occupation saddler, there are quite a few, and in particular quite a few in Lincolnshire, but also several in Nottinghamshire. |
