Trying to find details of Grandfather, William Charles Turner. Born around 1871, in Borden, Sittingbourne area. Presumed illegitimate, had brothers and sisters with surname Upton. Living with grandparents at Borden when one year old. His grandfather from Ripple near Deal. Worked as wheelwright, in Sheerness. History following that period is known and as follows; 1910 Post Office Telegraphist at Queenborough, 1921 Admiralty in Dover and later in building trade in Dover. Married Anne Elizabeth Saunders c.1902. Sons Wiiliam, (my father), Leslie and Cyril. |
