thomas trotter (scotland)

has anyone got or lost a thomas trotter born about 1812 in scotland,who died in 1896 tasmania,i think he was a convict who arrived in V.D.L (tasmania)about 1852.
im not sure if he links to my scotland trotter as yet,but i did have lots of trotter's come from scotland to tasmania,and newzealand in my tree.
