Name: Ethel Waterhouse Year of Registration: 1900 Quarter of Registration: Apr-May-Jun District: Thorne County: Lincolnshire, Yorkshire - West Riding Volume: 9c Page: 894 Do you have the certificate giving the address as it is the nearest one to the census they could still be at the same address. I have a surname Martin in 1891 and they are called Kite by 1901 so i know it does happen. Hopefully i will find them back as Martin in 1911 census!

OOPS ! Sorry Julie for not hanging about but I have limited time to do this.
In answer to Janices' question - the names of the children: Charlotte Mary(1894), Ruby (1896), Nellie (1898) Ethel (1900).
The address on the marriage certificate was - 9 Craven Street, Hull.
I had hoped that someone might realise the Mowthorpe connection and have some information to link to Waterhouse.
Thanks again guys.

Thanks to all of you for replying.
Yes I do have a marriage certificate for them for 1894. Williams father was also called William and they both worked as labourers on the docks in Hull.
I have seen the entries you other guys have posted for the census etc, but the father's names are wrong and they areas in some cases look wrong.
The entries for Emma are all correct though.
Neither William or Emma are in the 1901 census and by that time they would have had 3 possibly 4 children. None of the children are listed in the 1901 either - possibly they were living with another relative? If only they were I could have got his place of birth from that !
FRUSTRATING!!!

Trying to trace my grandfather William but no information about his birth or familly! He married Emma Mowthorpe in Hull in 1894 and they travelled Yorkshire with the fairgrounds. They had eight surviving children.
They finally settled in Clowne, Derbyshire somewhere around 1901.My father was born in 1910 and in later years helped William with his coal carting business.
William died in 1934 and Emma 1935 and they are both buried in the local churchyard.
Any information at all would be great as I would dearly love to find out about William. I have already traced Emma's family.
