Hi there Lew,

The Geoffrey Middlin born to Adeline Vera Middlin is the father of my sister-in-law who never knew his mother. Obviously he wasn't adopted because when he was married his birth certificate stated his name as Middlin and he had to officially change his name to Davis out of respect for the family that raised him.

Geoffrey comes from the David Sydney Middlin and Eva Jane Crago but everyone that I have either emailed or phone don't know of their existence. Same thing Geoff's children would like to know of any relatives out there.

Yes I am the same Kerry doing the McMillin quite an intriguing family eh.

Also Lew Adelene did marry a William Robert McCreight Mann, but so far no luck there either and sadly enough Geoff predeceased his mum, so possibly if things were different he may have been able to have contact with her.

Thank you Julie for your quick reply, I have been out and have only just checked for any movement. I am just trying to establish the family of Adelene Vera for my sister-in-law and any living relatives of hers so that perhaps she may contact them. Adelene Vera was her grandmother. Adelene Vera's parents were David Sydney and Eva Jane Crago. But living relos seem to not know about David and Eva. Like siblings perhaps of Davids. Have tried ringing many Middlins in the Victorian phone book as well.

As you will note also that Lew was looking up information too, so don't know what you do there as I am very new to this part of Genes even though have been a member for quite some time.

Thank you so much for bothering to look up info for me it is greatly appreciated and I suppose if both are posting here you at least know what each one is doing.

No have only just gotten onto the computer been watching the cricket. I thought that she only married William Robert McCreight Mann. I am simply dumbfounded. Thank you for that. I wonder what will pop up next. I have just gone through my records and Adelene and William married in 1927. Geoffrey was born in 1919. But it would mean that she was only 16 or 17 when she married for the first time. Could that be a possibility and is there a death for Francis Peter Burke? Which would show if it is her.

There was an aunt Adelene Jane but she married someone else, not Burke.

It actually looks like Geoffrey had 2 brothers, one older born in 1913 Alfred Charles the same year that she married Francis Burke, then Geoffrey in 1919 and Thomas David born between 1927 and 1933. I actually thought that he lived longer, maybe I am just confused and shocked by all of this.

Is there any death of Alfred Charles Burke at all?
