Hi Gordon
Really struggling with your Hassall folks(seems they may be well named)
Possible death for Charlie ;
Charlie Hassall age 69 June Qtr 1954 Crewe 10a 235
Do you know where he died??
and a possible birth Charles Hassall Dec Qtr 1885 Nantwich 8a 330

I cannot find on any census William/Mary Hassall with Charles Gilbert and Frederick.

When and where did William marry Marey Nevitt??

Do you have any of the people mentioned in your request on a census???And do you have any birth certs for any of them.

Need more info,do you know if there were any female siblings for Charlie???

Not looking good at the moment.

when was Leslie Hassall born??may have to start from there.

Ben
You still have not answered my question Have you looked on Freebmd for the marriages and the births of the children????
I cannot find a Kendrick family on 1891 or 1901 census that fits the info you have given neither can I find a Evans family on any census in England or Wales that fits.
If your info is from family hearsay you must try to verify it before asking for lookups.

Hi Marilyn
I strongly recommend that you purchase the birth cert for Frederick Allard and also his possible marriage cert as these two documents will give valuable clues as to his parentage and where he may be found on census returns.
Since his possible marriage took place after the 1901 census it will not be possible to find him with wife.
Have you checked Freebmd for possible children born after 1901???
I assume you have the GRO ref nos for his birth and possible marriage,if not you can find them on Freebmd site.

Hi Lynn
If you are only just starting your tree the first thing you should do is write down all the facts you know for sure.Starting with you and any brothers and sisters years of birth and where, from that you should be able to work out approximately when your parents married and a rough idea where.
Without dates I can do nothing and locations of where events took place helps as well.
it is a good idea to go to your local library and get a book on tracing your family history. There are many available and they are full of good advice on how to approach a fascinating subject.
