Hi Julie
Struggling with this one.
What censuses do you have them on prior to marriage.
When were they married and where?
Did they have any other children prior to Ethel b 1902.
Do you have the 1901 for Mary J Stobbart shown as wife but no husband with 6 children including a Jonathan age 2??

Will keep trying
Mary

Hi Mary

You have helped me before with my HOW/E family and i thank you for that. I hope you don't mind if i ask for help again. This time i am looking for census info on Jonathan Stobbart born 1861 in South Shields and Mary Leask born c1862 also in South Shields. Something with them together in a later census would be wonderful. I know they had a daughter Ethel, but she wasn't born until 1902.

Kind Regards

Julie

Hi Mary... so sorry to give you this awkward one.
Her father was milkman. and they lived at 22 Crown Street. Ediths name was changed to Amy after registering! They had other children and i know there was a seperation later. Ithink Margaret was born around 1874/8.
Thankyou
Dorothy

Hi Mary

This is a complicated one! Just received today a birth cert for "Amy" Fletcher to find her name is reg Edith and her mother who was always "Margaret" is Sarah!... Edith(or Amy) was b.Sept 1896 in Liverpool. A son Edward Lewis born 1897. I think i have found their marriage record...
Sarah Margaret Parker
Edward Smith Fletcher
June 1896 .Liverpool.
I will try to find where they were born...feel sure he will be from Liverpool and she a Londoner!
Thankyou for your time
Dorothy.

Hi Mary
Yes I found him in the 1841 index on findmypast.only i've just runned out of units.
The entry just says records John South (68) in Colchester district.

Not to worry if you can't find him on Ancestry, I'll just top up my units.

Thanks for looking.:-)
