Hi Mary
You have helped me before so i hope you don't mind helping again. This time i am looking for James Drummond c1785 - c1859 possibly Old Kilpatrick, Dunbartonshire and his wife Elizabeth Govan c1785 also Old Kilpatrick. I know of 4 of their children: Katherine 1801, Thomas c1806, Elizabeth 1812 and Thomas 1818. I believe they were all born in Dunbarton. If you could find out any info from census for any of these i would be very grateful.
Kind Thanks, Julie

Hi Jennifer Since accuracy is everything ,you should not speculate with possible parents. My advice is to send for his marriage certificate which will give fathers name and occupation, also the address where he was living at the time of his marriage. This is the ref no you need to send for the certificate from GRO Edward Gundle/Sarah Ann Mason June Qtr 1876 Holburn 1b 1068.

Hi Chris Consider this your own personal thread!!! Dog stitched, sporting a bright yellow bandage and a large collar to stop him eating the bandage, not a happy chappy,no off lead walks for several days, and the bandage must not get wet,so fingers crossed for the weather to continue to be dry. Bill will be over £100 when he finally gets the stitches out.Thank goodness he is insured.

Hi Mary
Thank you so much. I have been looking for Hays with an 'e' as it is on all the other census'. I am now going to study this information and add the pieces to my puzzle.
By the way, Matthew was the son of Jane, daughter of Mary Hayes nee Shapland. John Shapland is Mary's son. ( I think)
Thanks once again
Regards
~Miss Ellie~
