I can't find a birth for there.. you need to go from absolute facts then work backwards....

if you open the 1891 cesus for Scotland, then only enter Ceres as the birthplace, the year of birth,,,, female or male and run the search you'll get all the people in Ceres. You need to then work out who you need,,,

This is always the best way to search people who are from one area you'll get them all then!

Any ideas what i should be looking for then? Liek i said i did trace the henderson/robertson line as i thought this was a very good match dates and areas etc but now im not so sure

Wayne - yes i did wonder that as there are several Annes in the family btu that was Helen Robertsons middle name and her mothers name so it would have been a generation thing so quite possible christina could be a middle name

Samantha, have you considered she was born Christina? and that Christina is an elected name? maybe it's her middle name?

Sorry to be a pain but in 1901 she was a domestic servant for the mitchell family.

I was sat researching again and i looked back at my tree, then i noticed something - on the wedding certificate of my mother in laws grandmother (Christina Henderson who married Colville Graham in 1902) it looks like her parents were John Henderson and then i cant make out the mothers name.

but for some unknown reason i have the names Helen Robertson and Thomas Henderson in my tree. I think ive been researchign the wrong people

could some one please have a look and let me know what they think and if they can make out hte mothers name please?!!
