Hi Dionne
Great to see some more info being added - what a great find by Ann! :-)))
I did post this info back last year and it does kind of match with the child Edwin so may be worth getting?
Edwin William Livermore - dob 14 Sep 1911 - Death Q4 1972 Hillingdon.

Is it possible that Edwin travelled back with his regiment and the wives and families travelled back separately.

Must admit I'd forgotten about Constance! Didn't he come out of the Army in 1912?( from memory - I haven't checked). I wonder if Edwin had died, but then why is she calling herself "wife?" Wonder if she remarried in this country as she had 3 young children.

Wow Ann
I think this could be them.
As you see Dorothea is there with her sister Edith. If you remember Dorotheas sister was called Edith Constance Livermore . She chose to be known by her second name of Constance.
We also have the brother Edwin who Dorothea never ever spoke about. I am going to have to go through all my research to checkout the dates etc.
I see they came over to this country in 1914,wanst this when Edwin senior came out of the Army? But we are still none the wiser as to where he went to.
There is still so much mystery surrounding this family but I am hoping that I can now tell my father the name of his grandmother.
As you know I work long hours in the week so I really cant spend a great deal of time on this until the weekend. I am so excited and cant wat to get going again.
Many many thankyou's xx

Ancestry now have the incoming passenger lists. Told you Dionne, that they should help! I hope this is the family
Traveeling from Natal to London, on the Braemar Castle, arriving 13/7/1914
Mrs Edith Livermore wife, 36 Miss Edith Livermore, 6 Miss Dorothea Livermore, 4 Master Edwin Livermore 2
No husband mentioned though. Don't think we had Dorotheas mothers name before, so I'm sure it helps! Don't remember Edith, the daughter, either!

Hi everyone.
Ann has asked me to put this thread to the top of the board as she couldnt find it. She thinks she may have found my Livermores on a passenger list. Fingers crossed.

Hi all
I have had a few replies from one of the contacts found and it seems after compareing our information we are searching for a different family of Livermores even though some of the names match which is a great shame.
I am still waiting for a reply to an email I sent to another member. But it is still looking that I am really no closer to solving the mystery on Edwin William Livermore. Shame. xx

Hi Friends
I really wish I could say that I have some news for you all. But sadly again I have none. I have written to magazines in South Africa and over here but no one sems to be able to help. Itg really does look like Edwin just vanished. I do pop in here from time to time with the hope that someone might just come across something for me. I would love to have the final piece of the jigsaw but it just seems that at the moment it it not to be. Thankyou all for asking and I promice if I get any news you will all be the first to know. Hugz Dionne x

nudge/ amazing. of for a cuppa. you are all fantastic.
Read through the whole thread, i was amazed by the dedication of people on here. i thought genes was going down hill a year ago when a lot of good people moved to the other web site, but you have outshined more than i can imagine. you all have done wonders and i hope the last pieces one day come together. My family is a muddled up lot and i not very good at finding further than i have got. Father wont help me and sadly my mother died 37 years ago. i have found distant cousin on here but not heard from her for long time. Keep the good work up. i even missed coronation st tonight, never have i been so hooked on a wonderfull, very confusing thread before in all the years on here, i started finding partners original family after social services could find no trace, took me two years but i did it, just got one more sister to find who was adopted but sadly dont think we are ever going to find her, this thread brought a lump in my throat, keep us informed as to what is going on and give your father a hug from me, for wanting to put some closure on his child hood. well done to you all. xx
