Hi Germaine

Found them so far on the 1910 census, living Manhattan, looks like West 30th Street, no sign of the MIL though - here are the details

Richard James, Age 45, says born Ireland, emigrated 1893
Louisa, Age 32, born Ireland, emigrated 1896
Oswald, Age 11, born New York
Henry, Age 3 mths, born New York

I'll try for 1920 next

Firstly hope you are better soon Carol and thank you for the kind offer.
I was just coming on to ask for anyones help and saw your offer.
Could you please find this family in 1910/20. New York.
Richard James born about 1874 with a wife Louise or Louisa son Oswald ( he was bon New York in 1900) think there is also a son Henry c 1910 and mother in law.
It is the MIL and address I really need. Not sure if she was on the 1910 or 20
I have Richard in 1900 different wife ( I am sure she has died) and he has remarried. Oswald not with them in 1920.
Thank you for your time

Germaine

Hi Wendy

Re Ernest Puddy - sorry can't find him on either 1900 or 1910 census, nor Alice or children Alice/Wiliam - it could be they've been mistranscribed.

Hello, speedy recovery I hope you can help with the following, also can you find any immigration records too

Thomas Chivers born in 1865 in Pittston Pennsylvania, he married Amelia Tucker in 1888 Newport, Mon S Wales

His parents were
Caleb Chivers - born in 1842 Cork, Ireland
Mary Hughes - born in 1844 Bangor N Ireland
they married in Merthyr Tydfil Wales 1861

Apparently Caleb went to work on some building project over there and Thomas was born

Are you able to locate a birth certificate with this info

Regards

Margaret

Hi,
This might be a tricky one for you, i'm looking for Ernest Puddy b1871 in Wedmore,Somerset. He and his family went to America some time before 1890 then they returned home.
his family were
wife Alice b1870 Somerset
daughter Alice b1890 New York
Son William b1891 also New York.
we haven't been able to find a marriage record for Ernest and Alice (Fear-Hembury) so she may be down under her maiden name.
good luck
hope you recover quickly :-)

Hi

Updated 7/9/07

American Census lookups offered from Ancestry, I have full Ancestry membership, so can also do 1841 - 1901 lookups and any other Ancestry database.

Give me as much information you have, e.g. name, when/where born, and where in America they were living. Or where living here if 1841 - 1901 needed, please state year etc.

I've got the next couple of weeks off work recovering from an operation, so willing to put the time to good use.

Best
Carol
