Find Ancestors

What happens if you agreed when you bought various census CD's etc not to offer lookups and then they catch you doing just that? I've got various bits for Cornwall which I bought from Archive CD books, and that was part of the purchase that you agreed not to offer look ups. Can they take you to court? Pauline

Hi Steve, Thanks for clarifying that for me. I have taken up the offer from Archive CD Books for Cornwall, and saved £50. Now have 1841 & 1861 census, complete set of Philimore's marriages and Kelly's directory for 1893, plus the freebie for being a new customer. I'm very pleased with the quality of the scans as well. Just waiting to see if they do a similar offer for Yorkshire in the future! Regards Pauline

i have derbyshire 1861 Whites 1857 directory kellys derbyshire 1912/1932/1941 CD 1896/1901 Ordinance Survey 25" Maps of Derbyshire.lots of detail far better than old maps site also go to Derby Local Studies Libary a lot and they have 1841/1851 indexed/1871/1881 with original images which shows up a lot of mistakes on the lds site/1901 censuses and Electrol rolls

Like one or two others, I have Lincs 1841. Will gladly do lookups but as there is no name index, I need to know where to search.

hi all, i have the full 1881 on cd. the 1851 index for barnard castle. a partial 1851 uk census on cd, about 1 million names on it, so bit hit and miss. would need birthplace, and as many details as poss, is in alphabetical order not family groups so can take a while to group them up if they have a common name, please e mail me, sue/ have now also got the 1861 for dewsbury/heckmondwike/ mirfield and some surrounding areas. and the universal british directory [1791] of trade, commerce and m'facture.

Hello I know I have asked this before but I have lost the info I received. I am looking for the birth of George Withey - father Frederick. He was 23 when he got married in 1869. He was 43 in 1891 census. So I am getting a whole range of ages. On the Familysearch site there is a George William Withey born and christened 1844/45 but that child died a year later. Also he has the wrong parents. I really need to order his cert but just can't find anything. It says he was born in Worcestershire but I have been looking under Warwickshire too as the Witheys in more recent times have come from Warwickshire?? Help

Hi All I have just recieved the Southampton 1871 census on cd, it hasnt got any images, well I will have to wait till other half gets home just in case I have missed something. You can search by name or Address. Not sure whether it is that accurate as I think I have found one mistake or I have been following wrong names. Debbie

I Have the following if I can help I will Norfolk Marriages 1801 - 1837 CD Ver 1 (this just gives names and dates and parish it is not a complete list, never the less he has helped solve a number of puzzles) Norfolk 1841 Census - browsable by Parish only Norfolk 1861 Census - browsable by parish only 1851 Norfolk - Devon - Warwick 1861 Suffolk census - browsable by parish only Ancestry subscription (for now anyway) this gives access to 1871 and 1891 I also have plenty of time and a big desire to help if I can - after all others have done the same for me and I just want to return the favour.
