Sarah Looks like they wern't lazy it is actually called Twig Folley, but the numbers were only 1-3 so perhaps the rest wern't built until later. There was no other Twig Folley. Thanks for your offer about Taunton. Funnily enough I had someone contact me last night from the area with the same name, looks promising, they just have to contact me again. But if they don't perhaps I could get back to you. Thanks Lynda |

Lynda, Thank you very much for that. I wonder if you could try 19 Twig Folly Close - maybe they were just lazy writing it on the birth certificate! I saw another message where you mentioned relatives in Taunton. I live nearby and my husband's family go generations back in Taunton if you need anything looked up locally or churchyards visited. Regards, Sarah |

Hi Lynda could you be kind enough to see if there is an Elizabeth H Davey please? all I have from census's is St Lukes, City Rd (also shows as Middlesex). One address possibilty is Combs Street. My great aunt insists that her grandmother was a Comb but on birth certs I have for children it says Davey and she was never previouly married either. thank you Debbie |

Hi Lynda, I wonder if you could look up 19 Twig Folly and 3 Carter Street both in Bethnal Green. I am looking for references to James George - there were several generations of them. Thanks alot for your help. Sarah |

Lynda As I said before my family must have been gypsies. They never stayed in a place long enough to track them. Not like me I have lived here over 30 years. Might try for 1861 & 1871 census lookups. Thanks Shirley |

HI Shirley The names of the families in Upeer Swan court Look like Harbey & Carssey, no Males, coincidentally there was a Maria Harbey, but she was 14, not that that seems to make a difference I suppose, but there were no babies there. Lynda in the 90 degrees Rainham, so hot here Shirley, got my shorts and Tee shirt on!!! |

Sharon The 1851 has a facility to search for addresses in any area, so I put in the name of the Street and it tells you where they are. There were no Shandy Streets or Halley Streets in the whole of London. There were some St Pauls Roads, mostly in Highbury North London. Lynda |

Hi Lynda Thanks for looking anyway, as i said was a long shot. The areas were listed that way on 1891/1901 census could they have been different on 1851. They could have come under Stepney/Bethnal Green/limehouse. Thanks again for looking Sharon |

Sharon Shandy Street,St Pauls Road and Halley Street were not listed in the areas you asked for. Gill Street was listed in the index, but was not on the page that they gave the reference to. I looked around some pages near but couldn't find Gill Street. If I have to look in the area again I will keep a look out for it and get back in touch. Sorry about that. Can only assume the others Streets were not built in 1851. Lynda |

Lynda, If you have time could you look up another branch of the Linkson's for me. I have a marriage certificate from 1842 which has Robert Linkson and Maria Clarke in Old Street, Islington. Both are over 21 in 1842. There's no number and I know Old Street is huge so if it looks to be a massive task don't worry and I'll get them when I'm next at the FRC. Best wishes Zoe |
