Hi Susan I have received a marriage certificate this morning for john fyfield married in 1838 in liverpool his father was called george fyfield. John's wife eliza minifie sims was born in somerset but i cannot find any info on his father george. Can you please see if there are any entries for a george fyfield born around 1790 because i think maybe john was born around 1810. I am not sure where george was born but hopefully there will not be too many of them. Thank you Roseanne |

Hi Susan Please could you look up the following burials for me - I'm not sure what info you need, but here goes anyway - Hannah Ferry died 1889 age 41? in Middlesbrough Annie Thompson born c 1874 died in Middlesbrough - I'm not sure when but it was post 1920. Elsie Kay born 1909 - I think she died during WW2, definately buried in Middlesbrough. (She was apparently 36 when she died, which means she died in 1945, but I am unsure about this and it could have been anytime between 1940 and 1945) Thanks, Lucy |

Thanks - I would be grateful if you could pass on any info about the Ferry's you have. Also the Broadbridge family living in Middlesbrough. Any ones you find in Middlesbrough are in my tree so all apply - its quite a big family!! In relation to Annie Ferry (on the message I posted seperately) I have already got 1891 census info for her, but thanks for the offer anyway. - Lucy |

Hi Susan, If you don't mind could you take a look for the following on the VRI: (Irene kindly found them on the 1851 Hampshire Census and the ages relate to that date) Absalem Tanner aged 42 (b circa 1809) married to a Rachel aged 32, living in Woodcott, Hampshire. I know Absalem was born and died in Woodcott, Rachel was born in Winterbourne, Hampshire. Their children were Thomas aged 12 (my ancestor) Ellen 10 Jane 8 Olive 6 (later Olivia (free BMD) married a Cleary and then a Daniel Pearce (1891 census) Any information, particularly on the marriage of Absalem (Absalom) and Rachel would be very much appreciated. This info. is a real breakthrough for me so thank you for any help you can give. Regards Mandy |

Hi Susan Can i please ask for one more look up, you have already helped me so much but i have been trying to find my great grandfather for over a year. His name was Thomas Taylor and he was born in Ardwick manchester about 1857 - i have been told 1st September - but i am not sure. I am waiting for my 3rd birth certificate for him (hopefully this will be the right one). He was married at St Thomas's in Ardwick, so possibly this is where he may have been christened. Thomas's father was called John Taylor. Thomas had a brother born around 1855 - maybe he will be easier to find and i think they had a brother called owen taylor born around 1860. I can understand if they are too many Taylor's, - it is so hard. Apparently there were 13 in their family alone. Thank you again Roseanne |

Susie I feel like crying - you have found him. Thank you so much. The oldies were right about his birth - brilliant. I was not sure about owen but the names runs in the family for generations, and he lived in the same area. Roseanne |

Hi Susan, If you're not too busy, I wonder if you could check the VRI/NBI for anything for a Thomas Ashfield born c1834 or his father, Benjamin Ashfield, probably born 1800-1810. They are my husbands gr-gr-grandfather and gr-gr-gr-grandfather. Have not been able to find out anything about either of them, they both died before the 1881 census, so we don't actually know where they were from. I understand, if you feel this is a bit of a long shot and would be too time consuming, but anything you might find, would be absolutely wonderful. Have been stuck at this same point for months! Thank you, Debbie |

Hi Susan Could you please look for Emma Woodford born 1873 in Scotland on the 1891 census she may be in London or even Reading. She was not listed with the other members of her family and she was definitely alive then. Many thanks for your kind offer. Susan Duke |

Hello Susan, Would you be kind enough to look up Clara Dunham - born 1865/66 in Swanscombe Northfleet, Kent. I know she married in 1890 so 1891 census is no good. I need to verify a link to Isaac Dunham. Any info would be greatly appreciated. This is one elusive lady!! Thank you Gill |

Thank you Susie, It appears there is quite an age gap between Clara and her siblings. The parents appeared to have registered all the others except Clara. I have to be honest - I do not really know what the VRI is. I also believe the NBI doesn't cover much of Kent. Thank you again for looking. Gill |
