Deborah thank you for your offer. I am curious about the 1881 census disc and wonder if it differs from the online version? I have William FAIRY born Hunts in 1848 and his wife Martha Ellen 1847 who seem to be on the online version as William HENRY a leather bag maker. Can you tell me if the discs can identify them more positively? Very grateful Marlene |

Dear Deborah I have to admit to being a bit ignorant still as I'm not really sure what the BVRI contains and what you would need to help you do a search. If you ever have time to help me I would be very grateful. I want any info on George Cooper born Lambeth c1824. He married his cousin Mary Cooper, born Kennington 17/11/1822. The first child, Elizabeth was born Marylebone,1871. Thanks Rosemary Alderson Oz |

Hi Debbie, I posted a request to you on 24th November but have not had a reply. Did you send me an e-mail? . Another GC member sent me an e-mail which I didn't receive and I'm wondering if the same has happened with yours. If it's just that you've been busy and haven't had the time to do the lookup, I apologise for troubling you. Lilian |

Hi Debbie, Would you be able to check for one of my more elusive ancestors please? His name was ALLEN RIGDEN born c1844 in Kent, probalbly Whitstable. He married a girl called EMILY (Surname unknown) who was a lot younger than himself. I have found them in 1881, Allen (37 and an Oyster Dredger) and Emily (25) were living with their children Annie (10), Henry (4) and William (2). By 1891 Annie had left home. In 1901 I can only find Henry and William (my 2xG Grandfather). Would you be able to check if you can find a birth for Allen c1844 and/or a marriage to Emily c1870 in Kent. Any info would be greatfully received as he is a mystery before 1881!!! Cheers Kay |

Hello Debbie, Thank you so much for the offer. I have been having problem locating birth record for ggrandfather Henry Stow. Supposedly he was born May 29, 1881 in London (probably East End) and on wedding certificate he listed his father as Walter. I know he had one sister. Not sure of any other siblings. He was a rogue and was inclined to stretch the truth to suit him. I don't know if his parents were actually married as I have found no listing for them on 1881 or 1891 census. In fact not one single Henry Stow on the 1891 census fits his profile. He sometimes also went under the last name of Jacobs. So, if I should be so lucky perhaps you might find a birth for me. Thank you in advance for your time. Sandra |
