Hi Janet I don't know if you can help me or not, I have just discovered my grandmother was adopted and the name we have been trying to search for for several years, was not her birth name, she was born on 26.12.1897, and on the mother's declaration was named Doris Peach. we do know she was adopted by a John Harding (formerly Whitwell), however I would still like to know something about my great grandmother Dora Eleanor Peach, no father was mentioned, only Name Doris Hickson, place born Dog & Duck Lane, Beverley, and she was a domestic servant, just wondered if you have a Dora Eleanor Peach on the 1891 census and where. Sorry if this is a tall order, thank you for any help you can give me. Thank you.

Hi Janet Can you look and see if you can find a William Thomas Edwards either 5 or 6yrs old. He would of been born in London...most likely West ham, Mile End, Islington, etc. I know his father was called William but at the moment have no idea what his mother was called. I appreciate that Edwards is a common name and you are likely to find a few but the information would be useful to start getting birth certificates. Sorry if this is a big one. I have looked on the 1891 census at the records office but couldnt find him.....maybe i misread the fiche. Many thanks again Vicky
