Chris Thanks, you are so good for looking this up for me. Emily was 18 in May according her marriage lines but according to my other research she was just 16 in 1871.Her father was called John Hodson. I have found the family in 1881 so will look it up. I wonder where William was, he came from Norfolk according to later census info. He is pretty consistant about that and his age ( 29 on the 1881) Thanks again Ann |

Hi Chris I asked you before Christmas if you could find a William Hanton in 1871. He married Emily Hodson in 1872 in Sheffield so I am hoping he was in Yorkshire at the time. They settled in Rotherham after the marriage. His father on the marriage cert was Thomas Hanton, occ. farmer. I am wondering if he is in Yorkshire as well. I need details of his family. Many thanks and a good New Year to you. Regards Ann |

Thanks for that Chris, maybe the house I was looking for was either vacant or not built in 1871. Could I ask for another house lookup please? Could you tell me who was living at 23 Back Lane, Leeds in 1871.I believe that it was in the Quarry Hill district. Thanks again for your time. Kind regards. Martin. |
