Hi Sally, Could you look up James Sutton born in c1842 and living in Hastings. He was a coachman. I believe he should be married to Martha but I have been unable to find them on the 1881 census. Many thanks, Crista |

Sally, thanks for even attempting a JONES lookup. I didn't know how surnames are indexed on your 1891 records. I assumed age & place of birth could also be added. Don't spend too much time at the detriment of other more fruitful searches. many thanks for the time you have given, Roy. |

Sally, thank-you for getting back to me. It doesn't look like my Lock(e)s but who knows, they may fit in somewhere. Could I possibly be cheeky and ask you to look up Mary Ann Stowell and household in 1891, London? Mary would have been about 24. I promise not to ask you for anything else! Many many thanks :)) Helen |

Sally, First, a really big thank you, I have for a long while tried to find my grandfather's parent & siblings. My Grandfather was Charles Henry Jones, born 1885 in Welshpool Montgomery his Birth certificate gives his Father as Robert JONES & mother Elizabeth JONES formerly SWAIN. On the 1901 census Charles Henry is 15 years old & lodging in Shropshire & gives his birthplace as Pool Quay Montg. I was hoping the 1891 would show him at home with his family. I would then be able to identify them & find them on other census records. roy.rust at lineone.net |
