Hi Robin Can i trouble you again? Im looking for Henry Fewks and wife Mary nee Sharpe. From info you gave earlier Mary was widowed by 1861 and she was 52yrs old, so can you look for the pair of them before 1861. They married in Shelford in 1826 if thats any help. Thanks again Vicky

Hi Victoria This looks like them and they are the only family south of the Trent at East Bridgford, next door to Shelford. Piece 853 Folio 14 1841 Census Henry Fewkes 75 Head AL Henry 35 Shoe Maker Mary 30 Elizabeth 14 Bryan 11 There is one other at East Bridgford At 853 Folio 17 James 17 App FWK Bear in mind that the adult ages are rounded to the nearest 5 years in 1841.

Hi again Robin Im looking for a George Upton on 1841 and/or 1851 census. On his daughters marriage certificate in July 1841 it states his profession as a shop keeper. I believe he would of been born or then living in East Bridgford. Im praying that you will find just one George Upton and daughter Jane. If you dont come across a George with Jane can you please list all George's and i will eliminate them as i research further. Just out of curiousity...is there many Smiths in East Bridgeford in 1841/1851....Jane's husbands name. Many thanks again Vicky

There may be more than one family on a Folio Number.# 6 Robert 15 11 Sara 15 12 John 55 Sarah 55 John 30 Thomas 25 George 20 Richard 20 14 James 65 Sarah 7 All adult males are Ag Labs Sarah 60 21 William 25 Ann 30 Elizabeth 6 Harriett 2 Bear in mind that adults are rounded to five years. George Upton Married Betty Foulds at EBR on 31st December 1839 . They are listed on the 1841 Census with Jane 6 months and others. He is a Grocer. I cannot yet find a marriage for Jane Upton to a Smith. except one in 1841. Can you please e mail me direct for four pages of Uptons. Have you got 1861?

Hi Robin Thanks for your kind offer. Could you please look for RICHARD CLAYTON on the 1861/1871. Born 1855/56. His father was BENJAMIN CLAYTON. The 1881 Census says he was born in Middx, but the 1901 Census says Nottingham, Nottinghamshire. I'm confused!! Yours in anticipation Christel

hello robin just seen your message and wondered if you can find time to look for a charlotte RODDIS, B 1863. that one would be a long shot as im finding her very difficult to find. also could you look up a harry RODDIS married to eliza i found them on the 1881 but cant find them anywhere on the 1891 or 1901 but i know they were in nottingham. any other info would be much much appreciated many thanks teresa

Christel I think you will have to find out exactly where the birth took place in order to do a proper search of the census. I am searching copies of the actual census by surname and there are far too many Claytons to check the whole County. I have checked 1851 and 1861 Nottingham (city) and cannot find Richard or a Benjamin. There are members on this site with Nottinghamshire, Baptisms which should help you.

Teresa There is no one called Roddis in Notts 1871 and I cannot find them in Notts 1881 either.

Elisabeth M 1871 Census Bingham. There are 5 Marston families Thomas/mary Henry/Sarah John/Ellen George/Eliza Robert/Ann The above are with children. If you let me know which you are interested in, I can post details and check back further. Marson and Marstone appear in Bingham 1841
