Hi Sarah. Not sure what areas are covered by this index, but if Islington is included, can you please check for William Robert and Phoebe Rachel Sear - possibly in Parker Street or Charles Street - William would be about 25, Phoebe about 28. Thank you in advance for anything you find. Maz. XX |

Hi Sarah Thanks for trying. I think i will probably give up looking on census's now as no-one can ever find them. Either their names have been really badly mistranscribed or they just didnt bother giving the information, plus the fact i know from John and Rebecca's marriage certificate in 1854 that they were illiterate doesnt help. I know they difinitely lived in that area as I have found birth registrations for their children there. I think i will have to start ordering birth certificates to see if i can find an address for them around that time and try searching that way. Thanks again for your time and your help. Sharon |

Hi Sarah, I'm not sure if your census will cover Deptford/Greenwich as they may be classed at Kent but if they are covered could you please look up the following: James Grayston aged about 33 (a guess, might be older!) Fisherman Caroline Grayston aged about 33 James Grayston aged 13 Sarah Ann Grayston aged 6 James snr and Caroline were married in Deptford in 1847 and Sarah Ann was born at No. 3 Gothic Place, Greenwich in 1855 so presume they will still be around that area although Sarah and possibly Caroline had moved to Poplar by 1901. Many thanks Helen PS: the surname seems to often be mistranscribed as Graystone/Grassen/Grayson etc... |

Hi Sharon Sorry to say i could not find anything. Iam also having the same trouble. Some say i should try Kent ,Essex or Middlesex just to name a few. The only trouble is, its easier to pick up data for London, than the others. The last 3 discs ive brought, as well as people doing research for me, ive not found a thing. Well i know i will find them in the end! All the best Sarah |

Hi Sarah This is a long shot but could you see if any of my Ringrow ancestors are in this edition. It is really annoying because i know they were in London at that time but nobody can seem to find them. They lived in the east end, Mile End/Stepney/Bethnal Green. On some documents i have for them at later dates they are living at different numbers(13,20,304) of Globe Road, which runs between Mile End and Bethnal Green. It seems a lot of them time their name is misspelt or transcribed wrongly. A few are Rengrow, Renfrew, Rengrove to name but a few. Anyway enough of my going on! I would be really grateful if you could have a look. Many Thanks Sharon |
