Hi Susie I wondered if you could look at VRI/NBI for anything on following family Robert and Elizabeth GARWOOD from Walton Suffolk - I don't have a marriage for them Their children :- John born c1815 James bap 1818 Walton - could be same child as above Mary Ann bap 1815 Walton Jane born 1820 - she is the only one I have future details on Hannah bap 1823 walton William bap 1825 Walton Thomas bap 1832 Walton Sarah Elizabeth bap 1836 Walton I understand if there are too many records to look through as GARWOOD is a common name in Suffolk. Thanks |

Thanks anyway Susie. Their grandson was listed on 1881 census as born Eton so presume the Clewer Copus's were the family I'm looking for as only 1 mile away. Trouble is there are loads also at Cookham -6 miles away. With a grandfather called Diana - one wouldn't say Clewer in case anyone knew him!!! Mind you -my husband's name is Vivian!!!!!! must run in the family!!! Jackie |

Hello Susie Please could you look up on VRI birth/parents of John Copus b Cookham c 1778. This is his year of birth according to 1851 census but on IGI can only find 1773. Could have lied about his age, especially as his wife appears as being 8 years older than him on the census! (grand old age of 81). Hope this isn't too much trouble Jackie |

Thanks Susie for looking up the marriages of Michael Rickaby - Hurworth on Tees. Could you send me the details of the three that you found please, even though none of them were to a Frances someone? I found Michael and Frances on the IGI, as being parents of at least two children, Robert and Frances (1753 and 1748 respectively. There was also another Robert born to them, in 1750 I think so I am assuming he died. Not sure if you need to look up under an actual place or the names - maybe they were not in Hurworth on Tees in the 1740s until Frances jnr was born... But I would be very interested to know the three marriages for Michael Rickabys that you found. Hope you can do this - many many thanks. PS Where do you get the vri from? Tyne |
