Rebecca, this is on the Tips board. Looking for a Margaret A Benbow born 1887/8 ( age 20 at March 1908 marriage). Freebmd coverage for those years is 5% or so. Can you spot any candidates on 1837online? Pauline |

Debbi in devon! Just out of interest where in devon are you?? i used to live in both exeter and topsham...... came this way about 15 years ago but i visit every couple of months! firstly i cannot check parents names on this site and you will need to order the birth certificates for the names... sorry. but.... john b robinson was registered as john berrisford robinson so this may have been his mothers maiden name. born a/m/j 1845 newcastle under lyme.. vol XX11 pge 99 elizabeth courtney barnstaple 1849 j/f/m vol X pge 22. i notice you are looking at the courtney family, are they linked with the courtney family who were living at Powderham castle, devon? i used to go to school with 3 courtney girls from powderham castle..!! hope this helps.. Hi Rebecca, I'd rule out Radford and Biggleswade for starters, but the others look promising. You haven't said what year the records are from though. I had a bit of a breakthrough today though - I think I've found a birth record for one of George Percy's daughters, so that should give me at least the mother's maiden name. Thanks for your time, Rick. |
