Thanks Debra...........more confused now....for some reason I've got John Hale (b.1832)married to Jane Monks daughter of Richard Monks Knotting Beds and later he married Ann Headland, daughter of Thomas Headland from Souldrop Beds. Their children (according to IGI) were Mary Annb.1842, Emmab.1868 and Sarah Elizabeth ,christened 17 Mar.1867 all in Knotting Beds. I got this from IGI - can they be this wrong or are there so many Hales around ? Any ideas ? Mary Brooke

I know she's the right Mary Ann Hale but always thought they came from Bedfordshire. Can you look up more info about mother and father John HALE for me ? Thanks

Am trying to find his parents and siblings -there was possibly a John, Joseph and Richard who were related in some way.
