Hi Nicola, thanks for the offer. Could you look-up John Humphreys or Humphries for me please. Warwickshire. On the 1881 census it says he was born in Studley but i`m not sure about that as he seems to have moved around a lot .He was born 1837ish. Many thanks Julie |

Hi Nicola, That's the one ! Some LDS church member has posted this family on the familysearch site too, but I hadn't made the link with the younger John Brock before. Thanks very much for this and for the Simons you found the other day too. You've really opened up an area of the family I was stuck on and I'm very grateful. Rick. |

Hi Nicola, Please could you check the Devon 1851 census for John Brock, a mason, living in Stoke Damerel. It's not the one living at 11, Navy Row - that's his son. I'd guess the father would be 50 to 55ish. Thanks, Rick. |

Elizabeth, I can't find their children either. Is it a possible that they moved out of the county?or perhaps they were just visiting somebody in another county on the night of the census? Sorry not to be of more help, Nicola |

Hi could I ask for a look up please on : William GLAZE born between 1836 - 1838 Birmingham Warwickshire. ( year has been calculated by 1881/91 and 1901 census) In latter life he is a Jeweller so maybe his father is one too. No other info on him I'm afraid sorry. But hopefully there will be one or two Williams around in 1851 aged 15 to 18 that might be able to assist me. Fingers crossed. Thank you in advance for your kind offer Much Happiness Debi |

Hi Nicola, The family you found is indeed connected to my Slynns!! George Slynn married twice, his second wife was Elizabeth, hence the 1851 census record! His first wife Sarah must have died beforehand. Was there no entry for Francis George Slynn or possibly Frank Slynn b 1837 Birmingham? Thanks again, Gillian |
