Hi Nicola Sorry for not noticing that you weren't Ian!!! I'm sure that this is them, thank you so much.I suspected that they had at least 1 child and this confirms it.Sadly there is a death of a Maria Elizabeth Riches recorded in 4th quarter 1851,so I need to find out whether it was one of mine. Thanks again for your help Regards Peter |

Thanks a lot Nichola. I've entered it in my records until I can verify it, but it looks very promising. Have a nice holiday and perhaps will speak to you when you get back. Look after yourself. Lynda |

Thanks for trying anyway Nicola They are very trying these Robinsons. Anything under george Robinson or Frederick. They are forever been given names and using the second names. The 1841 Richard George is registered with that name, is also Richard on my grandmothers birth and marriage certificate but George on the census's. If I am trying to you I must take after my relatives(Which I do) Lyndaxx |

Nicola Any chance of looking for any relatioves in Birmingham in 1851. I have a richard George Robinson born around1795 probably in Birmingham. His son William Frederick married to Elizabeth or Betsy in 1840 in Birmingham. They had a son Richard George born 1841 and they were living in Bonacre street then which I think is Aston/nechells area. Am looking for more family for the first Richard and his son William Frederick Would be eternally grateful Lynda |

Hi Nicola, Thank you for this kind offer. I wonder if you could look for any Parfreys in Norfolk for 1851. I don't know if you need to know the actual area - they seem to have been around the Swaffham area. Thank you so much. Jackie |

Thank you Nicola. Perhaps they WERE all fibbing on the census! Now how unlikely would that be I wonder! Perhaps I am about to get back a little of the romance in my tree! Thanks Abigail |

Hi Abigail, Sorry, but i couldn't find the McLean you wanted in Brixham. Sorry not to be of any help, Nicola |

Abigail | Report | 13 Jul 2004 19:38 |
Nicola, Would you be able to look up a James McLean born in Brixham around 1849? I was sure that he wasn't born there (family members say he was born on Mull) but in a later census it says Brixham. His wife was also supposed to have been born in Portsmouth but in the same census it also says Brixham - so I am a little confused and wondered if you would be able to check it for me! Thank you! Abigail |

Nicola, you're a gem! There is a distinct possibility that these could be related to my Thomas SPEARS, as most of Thomas's sons went into the brass industry, so it could be that those you've found may be brothers of Thomas. Have to prove it for sure but I'll keep what you found for future reference. cheers, Andy |

Cheers Nicola. That looks like Thomas - pity he isn't living with his parents but never mind - and that definitely seems to be Elizabeth as the parents names match up with what I have. Many thanks, Andy. |
