Hi Ann (of Perth) I have found a William Cooper age 9 born in Witney Oxfordshire His father is listed as Joseph (age 30) and mother is Annie(age 29), there is also a sister Ada (age 12), brother harry (age 6), sister Nelly (age 3) They are still living in Witney at the time of the census and all born in Witney RG12/1176, FOLIO 156, PAGE 10 RG12/1176, FOLIO 157, PAGE 11 The family is split on 2 pages Vikki

Hi Elizabeth I have found a Henry Jones age 26 living as a boarder. it shows that he was born in ashbury, berkshire and working as a gamekeeper Others in the house Mary Ann Jones -age 24 head (marital condition ??) housekeeper - born berks John Jones - age 18 - Brother - General Labourer - born bishopstone berks Sarah Jones - Age 11 - sister - scholar - ashbury berks Henry Jones - age 26 - Boarder - gamekeeper - ashbury berks I hope this help, if not let me know Vikki

Thanks Vikki, but I'm not sure whether it's him. Ashbury seems a bit too far away from Reading, which he gives as his birthplace. My problem is that sometime between 1871 and 1881 he leaves the area completely and gets married in Worcestershire, it's making it very difficult to trace him. I suppose he must have travelled up on the rivers/canals. If there are any other possibilities for him I'd be interested to see them, but otherwise thanks for your help anyway :)

That's true, maybe he's half way there.. Would you mind checking 1871 Worcs for him? He ends up in Lower Mitton, but maybe he's somewhere else in Worcestershire in 1871. Thanks so much for all your help.

Hi Vicki, I am trying to find details of my mother's two sisters but am getting nowhere, I do not have a great deal information,however, First I need birth details of my aunt Truda Bacon she would have been born between 1923 and 1928 have no idea where! Secondly I need details of birth and marriage of her sister Patricia Bacon born somewhere between 1924 and 1929 don't know where, the family moved around so much. Patricia married a Polish man Miertik I think that is how you spell it and their surname was Karpinski and Karpinska apparently the man and woman have an a or an i at the end. They went on to have two children Maria and Teddy and lived in High Wycombe Bucks, Patricia died I believe in the eighties in Kent, sorry to give you all this but it might help your search. Hi Jacquline I have had a look on 1837online as there was nothing on ancestry I found the following Truda M Bacon Born 1st 1/4 1924 mothers maiden name Smart - registered in Bingham (7b 847) Patricia A Bacon Born 4th 1/4 1928 mothers maiden name Smart - registered Amersham (3a 1354) I also found a marriage of Ernest K Bacon and Georgina H Smart in Basford 3rd 1/4 1921 (7b 467) I hope this helps Vikki

hi Vicki Do you have an index for names in Middlesex and Yorkshire for both 1871 and 1891 as I don't know all addresses of many relatives in Yorkshire and some in Middlesex. Many thanks Hilary
