Hi Linda, I think this is her birth: Sarah Gertrude Timson Born Sept quarter 1877 Ashby de la Zouch Derbyshire Leicestershire vol 7a page 114 Ashby includes the Whitwick area. There is also a marraige for Sarah Gertrude in Basford Nottinghamshire Derbyshire on June quarter 1898 to either Fred Carlisle or George Henry Chambers. I hope these are the right ones. Laurie

Hi, I'm looking for any relatives of mine as I can't seem to get past my grandma, Joyce Sutton, (Cumpstey at birth) born in 1927ish. Also my grandfather John Sutton born around 1929. Both come from around Lancashire. I think my Grandfather was born in Bolton and my Grandma in Blackburn. Also I have never met my Father so his side of my tree would be helpful to know. He married Valerie Sutton around 1979 in Blackburn, Lancashire. Could u please help? Cheers, Laura.

Hi Susan, Sorry not getting anything. Just had a thought, I can't trace one of my ancestors who was living in Manchester in 1871 and it's apparently because it is not been transcribed yet. I know there is someone who has the 1871 Lancs census on the thread board but they can only do it by address. Which if you are like me and don't know what there address is they won't be much help. Hi Laurie wonder if you could look for the following: 1871 census - Sarah Garrish - m age approx 40yrs; George Garrish her son age 22yrs. Also, birth of Gerard Joseph Benn Robinson circa 1860-1868 in Cumberland. many thanks Trish

Hi Trish, No luck with Gerard at all. The only Sarah Garrish I found with a son George is older than the age you gave me. Here is the details anyway: head Adan Garrish 49yrs b Hounslow wife Sarah 53yrs b Whiteparish son Geo J 24yrs b Hammersmith. All living in St Mary Newington, London There is also a Sarah Ann Garish 43yrs b Harwich Essex living with husband Charles and 1yr daur Annie. Nothing for George with that spelling. Laurie

Hello Laurie I am trying to find a marriage of John Taylor b. 1821 Bristol and Elizabeth Davies b Kingkerswell Devon. They had a son Richard b. 1839, reg. Kensington District, Chelsea, North West, County of Middlesex. John would have only been 18 yrs and they had another son John Robert b. 1857 Woolwich. Dont know if there were any more children between these two boys. John joined the navy at 19 and stated "single", but birth certificate says mother Taylor formerly Davies.

Hi Zena, I have looked for a marriage of John and Elizabeth in Somerset, Devon and London, Middlesex but nothing. I can't find them on 1871 census either. I will have another look at some other areas later. Nothing for their births that I can see. I will have a look for the sons later aswell. Laurie

It would be much appreciated if you would help me in my search for Percival Whyte. Only information that I have is that he was dead BY 1970 Granny whyte ( no first name) was born about 1900 and living in London in 1968 So far no deaths found for 1955 - 1958 incl. Also looking for any possible marriage for percicval to give me Granny whytes first name. Any help at all greatfully recieved. Please e-mail any results incase can't find thread for your reply.

Hi There, how great of you to offer to do this! Hope you don't get overwhelmed with requests. Would it be possible to find out the parents of my great grandfather Edward Charles Sneller born 5/4/1893 in Dover, Kent. He married Harriet Emma Pile born 9/11/1892c, not sure if that was in Gillingham where they met or in Dover where they spent most of their married life. They married in 1915c. I believe it shows the parents names on the marriage cert.
