Hi Michelle Think James was born in Lancashire and on his son's marriage certificate dated 1886 his profession was miner so I agree with you and think the collier one must be the right one. Would be grateful if you could send me an image. Thanks for all your help. Linda

Linda Do you know where he was born? I have two possibles. One born and living in Yorkshire with wife Elizabeth and Daughter Emma. The second was born in Pendle Forest Lancs and is living as a Boarder ,Widow ,Collier, living in Burnley.
