David I can't find a father and son fitting that info. The only Michael Adams aged 20 ish is one aged 23 born London Middlesex living as a Lodger in Lancashire. There is one Michael Adams aged 6 weeks born Islington living in Blundell St Islington with his parents William Adams aged 29, Mary Adams aged 29, Sisters Mary Adams aged 10, Elizabeth Adams aged 8 and brother Daniel Adams aged 5. Hi Michelle Thanks for that - I'd assumed wrong (again!) - they were uncle and nephew rather than father and son. That's all I needed - thanks again David:) Michelle - just checking - that was 1891 and not 71 wasn't it because they've exactly the same names and aged differences as the previous generation - (just to confuse me)

David Sorry That was the 1871 census the 23 year old was from 1891 census. I tried 1891 but with no joy. Do you have any further info on them at all. I have tried soundex but that didn't help. Unfortunately there are over 8,500 Adams in London in 1891!! But if you can give me anything else I'll gladly have another go! Sorry again about the mix up over the census! Cheers Michelle

Hi Michelle I didn't have the 1871 so that was a bonus! No I haven't got any more information - was trying to connect a 10 yr old Michael in Islington (and born in Islington) from the 1901 to the other because it's possible he was a link I'm missing but never mind - I need some more unusual surnames in my tree!
