I would really appreciate info on John McCarthy, son of Cornelius & Teresa (Nee Walker). He is not listed with the rest of the family in Stepney. They moved around the East end during 1901/02, but it is likely he was born in Bethnal Green/Spitalfields/Stepney. Anywhere round there. He was unlikely to be over 15 or under 4, but that is all the info I have on him. I posted a message on the tips board tonight, which confirmed my beliefs that he was either an indentured apprentice, or more likely staying with relatives. Any info would be a real help. Thank you.

Diane Would you be able to find the following family (they seem to have disappeared after 1891): Walter Isaac Munson, b1859, Colchester Essex, Confectioner Elizabeth Munson, b1864, "at sea" Kate Munson, b1889, Battersea In 1891 they were living at 23 Urswick Road Battersea. I can't find any trace of them after that. The elderly relative who gave me details of that side of the family didn't even know that they existed, so I'm beginning to think that they may have emigrated in the 1890's. I've searched 1901 online high and low to no avail, tried every possible spelling alternative of Munson that I can think of... any ideas? Richard in Oz.

Hi Diane, Thank You so much for looking, I'm afraid he's not my Fred. I can only think that he was out the Country fighting in the Boer War but I've searched & searched and no luck so far. Maybe I should start searching the Census for 'cupboards, bet he's hiding in one of those...?!?! Thank You Again for your time, kindness and interest on helping us folk out. Best of Luck with your own researching. With Kindest Regards, Dawn.

Thank you Diane, for finding me the Prewett Family, could be that the spelling was different, it certainly looks like them. Could you check if Elizabeth was a widow please, if that's not too much trouble. Thanks for your kindness. M.
