few more lol ann tomlinson born 1817 died haxton april 12th 1872 aged 55 joseph son of above died haxton oct 3rd 1892 stewart ,says son of above but not sure if that means josephs son or anns,he died feb 2nd aged 64 no year ada tomlinson born 1879 died stenstill july 19th 1886 aged 7 yrs 11 months william jimison tomlinson born 1854 died leeds april 5th 1881 aged 27 all this is writing in black ink then in blue this ladys details are added because of that i think shes wrote the black and when she passed on someone wrote hers in?mary jane tomlinson died haxby york feb 1st 1922 last one bet your glad lol herbet tomlinson killed on explosion at broom hill middleton 21st feb 1916 brothers john william sisters blance louisa and emellisa broom hill near stenstlll thanks for any helpx

hi susan- it 'sometimes' gives the names of the fathers. it is easy to check- i just pop in the surname- and the disc finds them for me. so wouldnt take a second. sue.

Hi Sue, Interested in Notts and I saw that you said most info is about marriages. What info can you get --is it just date and place ? I have some marriage info myself and wondered if parents or any other details were available ? Thanks Sue

Sue - I've got them in the 1841, 1851, 1871, 1881, some in 1891 and some of them in 1901. Am definitely missing 1861, but thats a job for when I'm next in the record office as I'll be tracking at least 3 families!

Sue - Nothing seems to fully cover the Barnsley area! Such a shame as a great chunk of my ancestors are from Barnsley or the village of Worsbrough which is nearby! As for the Scarfe family... they're just difficult! Always have been and always will be. My Mum's especially stubborn :)

ruth the parish disc ends in 1837. you might be better getting their w cert, or asking someone to do a search for him on the 61 or 71 census- that might find him living with his parents. from the 1881 middletons road, beeston, notts herbert henson 23 b chilwell agnes [wife] 23 b forver and their 3 children, all born in beeston. sue.
