Thanks Sue - that really helps! I've found references to a James Farraday married to an Isabell Waller, who may be Christopher's mother - the dates look roughly right. I think this is the origin of the name Waller in my family (it eventually becomes a first name in the 20th century). Although with so many other Wallers about, you never know... |

hannah, isorry for delay [blame my hubby !!!] am now on the old computer and a second hand monitor i bought today. the insurance people dont rush , do they !!! THINK i might have found him, but date is a bit out. ingleton baptisms. christopher waller farraday, son of james farraday. 7 oct 1792 under ingleton there were 262 entries for waller . i think the reason is that a john waller and william waller were both curates and james waller was a chapel warden. john waller was the curate at christophers baptism, maybe thats why they gave him that middle name.[?] also found............ ingleton baptisms margaret dau of james farraday 12 oct 1788 rebecca dau of james farraday 9 may 1790 elizabeth dau of james farraday 24 may 1795 also found james taylor[ clapham parish, farmer] married margaret farraday [widow] 29 aug 1812. one of the witnesses was a rebecca farraday. i wondered if margaret was james widow and rebecca was the one born in 1790. will have another look , if i do find anything else will let you know, hope this helps, sue. |

Hi Sue I'm searching for the father of Joseph Greenwood Bland born 1826+/-10 probably in North Bierley. He may have been plain old Bland and married a Greenwood we are not sure when the Greenwood's first made an apearance. Shame is my grandfather dropped it from dad's name. Best regards xx Dave |

Hello Sue, I would be grateful if you could find any information on a Christopher Waller Faraday christened in Ingleton around 1792 (particularly birth/marriage), and James Faraday born around 1756, Ingleton - if your records cover Ingleton of course! Faraday is often spelt Farraday/Farady/Farrady or with one or two 'e's instead of 'a's. Any help would be very welcome - I've got stuck on this one. Hannah |

hi ronald. although this isnt the name you asked for, there is only one entry for the 'freeston' surname on ALL of the disc. it must have been quite an unusual name, so it might turn out to be some use to you later. st mary's, nottinghamshire.-marriages. john freeston <M> sarah ogden. 2 sept 1799. hope this helps at some point, sue. |

Goodness, I wouldn't have a clue Sue! Main church in Knottingley seems to be St Botolph's, and Knottingley is often linked to Pontefract I gather. Is that any help?? Thanks - Gordon |
