Thanks Tracy - that solves a lot for me. I have some water colours done in the 1830's by a couple of ladies in Herefordshire. These were passed on to my grandmother by John Hearns wife and I couldn't figure out any connection with our family and Herefordshire - this just might be it ! Cheers. Mary |

This is the only Richards with Middlesborough Mary Richards 17 Middlesborough, Yorkshire, England Inmate Holy Trinity Micklegate Yorkshire So my guess is that Middlesboro isnt on the ancestry for 1871 yet! I even tried York* But no Helen, and tried Rich* .. Nothing. Sorry again, T |

Many thanks for your time and efforts Tracy. I think someone sent me the 1901 info from the decoder-can't remember. But that showed Charles and Sarah Clarke living with a 23 year old Rebecca so I thought they were her parents- I presumed she would turn up as a small child in 1891.Maybe not. She could have been a sister or something. It also seems to be a problem tracking down Charles and Sarah with or without Rebecca. People had so many children in those days I thought they would turn up with Rebecca and other children. Hope I haven't been too much trouble ! Sue Wain x |
