Happy to do lookups in the Wiltshire 1851 census. Now back from holiday By the way - these are the abbreviations used: - General Abbreviations B boy G girl M man W woman L labourer A or AC acres E or EMP employing ( ) information moved from another column + more on original - information not given or Not Known. ? doubtful transcription, please check original [ ] suggested interpretation or locality * An asterisk at the end of a line indicates that interpretation has taken place or that care needs to be taken when consulting the original, particularly in relation to adjacent or other entries. Enumerators seldom followed the rules to the letter so it may be necessary to study their method of working to discover why * has been used.
