Andrea, I got mine from Stepping Stones, (add the 3 w's and end with the usual punctuation co uk) - but archive cd books without spaces and (punctuated com) also sell them - stepping stones were the cheapest! Linda |

Joan - thank you, I was aware of that. If you were offering the information to others, I suggest you put it on the tips board, as it will just get lost in this thread. Not all of the censuses for all areas are yet transcribed on that site either, there is only 1841 for the Consett area for example. regards Linda |

Hi Linda, Could you possibly find Henry and Mary Gent in the 1841 and 1871 censuses please. Henry was born Cockerton, Darlington c1818 and Mary was born, Piercebridge N.Yorks c 1820. For either census they should be in Darlington or Haswell i would think as that is where they are in the other censuses that ihave found. In Darlington they are known to have lived in Henry St, and Allan St, Both in the North Road area. Thank you for your time, Maggie. |

Linda, that info on Jane Hay is just what I needed. Got her marriage cert this morning and don't you just love it when it all comes together!! Roberts father is down as deceased on cert (1857) but I've a feeling the family was from Sunderland as they married at Holy Trinity there. Thank you so much for your efforts, I have the 1861 on disc and appreciate the effort in searching without index.Best Regards Tony |
