William Couchman b Bodiam Sussex 1789 married Sarah Duke b Ewhurst Sussex 1795. Married in Ewhurst Sussex 1818. Daughter Frances Couchman b Ewhurst Sussex 1819. Family believed to have moved up into Kent shortly thereafter and had more children. Have no idea where in Kent, but most likely fairly close to 'home turf.'

They should be living in the Maidstone area. Stephen Hysted (this can be spelt many ways Histed, Highstead etc) born 1815 in Marden, Kent. His wife Eliza Hysted born 1823 in Yalding, Kent. Hello Sarah Could you please look up for me 1861 Esther Horsford born 1851 in Upchurch and Robert Phipps born 1843 1871 Esther Phipps aged about 20 and Robert aged about 28 think they were in Lower Halstow then as their daughter Harriet was born there in 1871 and Robert died there sometime in 1871 1891 Esther Carpenter aged about 40 in Upchurch with her 2nd husband James Carpenter aged about 39 and their children Henry 1878 born Upchurch Annie born 1880 and Louise/a born 1882 In 1881 they were at Quay Lane in Upchurch Thank you Deborah

I am looking to trace a Thomas Tarrant, born in Dorney, Bucks c.1808, and living in Dartford. He appears (aged 62) on the 1871 census as living at 9 Great Queen Street with his wife Mary (aged 61), son Thomas (aged 25), William (aged 23) and Granddaughter Sarah Ann (aged 10). Mary was born in Shiplake, Oxfordshire the children and grandchild were all born in Dartford. Can you give me details of where the family were in 1841 and/or 1851. Thanks, Eddie. Dont suppose you could find a William Martin c 1771 probably around Longfield/Hartley area. Not sure when he died so dont know if he were still alive in 1841. I only have one child and she was married by then. He would be about 70 by then. Also looking for John Johnson c1838 with parents William and Eliza And a Thomas Baker c1808 and wife Hannah.
