Hi Maureen; The only Hanniford name in Devon is in Teigngrace in 1896. The BVRI coverage for Devon is very poor with only 10,000 births and just over 2000 marriages.

Thanks for the offer. I am trying to find the birth of Mabel Flew, born in Cardiff and born somewhere between 1885 and 1887 She is 5 on the 1891 and 15 on the 1901 census. Unable to find on 1837online. Parents would be James Flew and Catherine Flew.

Teresa If you could find a marriage between Henry thomas Jones and Mary Ann Watkins about 1868 I would be very grateful. Sorry its such a common name! They had a son, Arthur Hegley Jones in 1869 but don't know if he had brothers so the marriage may have been some time before or after 1868. To make matters worse it would be London area. (I know its hopeless) Living in Vincent Street, Westminster when Arthur was born. Many thanks.

Thankyou for your help, I am not sure if it is or isnt the same family, I would like to check it out though,so can you give me the names of the other siblings of David Eddie please, Also the names on the 1871 census of David Eadies children are daughter age 7... [cant quite make out the names].....David.. [I think] age 5...Robert age 3 ...and Ann age 1. We are looking for family of David Eadie or Eddie in Scotland. and the marriage of David to Ann possibly in London. Thanks again Hetty

Hi Jean; the only Jones/ Watkins marriage that is close is for John Jones and Mary Ann Watkins 1866 in Bristol. He is 61, she is 41. I have found a couple of children for a Thomas and Mary Ann Jones in Westminster in 1854 and 1861, James and Marion-Agnes. None for Henry and Mary Ann. If any of these are of inerest, let me know and I will post the details.

Hi Kate; I copied and pasted the information on William and his sister so I am not sure if it is a mistake. Perhaps the vicar was only available then. I have one of my families where all five of the children were baptised on the same day. Sometimes the addition in the original records is the date of birth in addition to the baptismal date. The original record would have to be checked to know for sure.
