Hi Tracey, I also looked up Maria Green, but couldn't find one. The only thing that I can think of is that Maria died and William married Ann? There is a child listed on the household i found for you called Maria, and parents often named their children after them, so perhaps it could be a possibility? Nicola

Thanks for looking Nicola. My Richard was a stonemason jourenyman so your second find may well be him before he went to London and married. Allowing for census mistakes Mary may have been his mother at 20 years older than him. Richard senior may have been journeymaning somewhere else! Thanks again for the help.
