Hi again, Sally, Do you think you could also look for them both on the 1871 census please? Frederick Charles TOWNSEND, son of William & Susan TOWNSDEND, born c.1860 in Devonport, Devon. I would expect to find him in Devon or Cornwall. and Elizabeth Georgina SAWDY, daughter of John & Mary Ann SAWDY, born 1864 on board ship in Australian waters. Her father was a sailor so I can't be sure where they would have been in 1871. They were in Devon for the '81 census. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. Vanda

Hi Sally, Just wondering if you are doing Scottish look ups. If so can you please look in the 1901 census for my Grandad. I know he was married in Dundee, scotland in 1920....I have 2 dates for this.........31st August 1920 and 31st December 1920. It says his age at marriage was 26. I need his date of birth. My Grandfathers name was Thomas McManus and he married Annie Dunn/e His father was named Patrick McManus and his mother was Mary Ann Mccafferty (ms). I have a certificate for the marriage of my Grandparents but no dates of birth. The reason I have 2 dates for the marriage is because on my Dads birth certificate it says august and on my Grandparents marriege certificate it says December......bit wierd Hope you can help Thanks Maureen

Hi Sally, I am looking for George BARSON born circa 1858 Coventry. In 1881 he is in Coventry with his wife, children & widowed father also called George aged 72. He is still there with his wife, kids and Dad in 1891. I cannot find him anywhere on the 1861 or 1871. His dad George was born 1808 Foleshill. I would love to know his mothers name and hope she was alive in 1861 and 1871. Many thanks - Sara

Can you try the 1871 census for me. I'm looking for Enoch Rogers, b.1828, d.1876. He married Sarah (known as Sally Langley in 1848. In the 1881 census I think I found Sarah living at Melton Street Kettering Northants, aged 49 and she is classed as widow. Many thanks Mary

Please give as much information as possible. I will do my best for all. Thank you all for emailing me, but, since update on genes, it would be better to put message on thread. as I've said 10 per cent of 1851 but, worth a try.GOING TO START NEW THREAD>16th jan
