Hi Margaret, Just wondering if you'd mind doing another search please? This time for a family named GOODRUM in the 1871 census. I have only recently located them on the 1881 LDS site under the name GOODMAN. I wonder if you could check for them in either Acle, Norfolk or Stockton-on-Tees, Durham under both surnames. Heelo there Margaret Thank you so much for your kind offer. Can you lookup a family in the Chelsea area of London. Its William Henry and Eliza MING. He was born in Buckinghamshire in 1823. In the 1881 they are misspelt as Wing so that might be worth a try if all else fails. They were certainly in the London/Middlesex area. Thanks again, best wishes Jane

Hi Jane don't worry - you won't offend me! The reason you might find a result that I didn't is that Ancestry has only some of the 1901 census, not all of it. The official 1901 census website is the only place to get the complete thing but obviously they charge to view it. I did look up both spellings of Gray/Grey but I will put the result for Grey here for you to look at.

Hi Margaret Yes that does look like one of my families. Thanks so much for that. Please don't take this wrong but i have just had a look on the 1901 decoder and found my Herbert on there. He his 34 living in Barton on Humber but i still can't find out who he is living with. He is a jar distillers clerk. You know when you did that second search for me the one giving me a list of all the Herberts in Lincolnshire. You spelt Gray with an A would you come up with a different list if you spelt it Grey? I hope i haven't offended you. I really do appriciate all the help you are giving me. Thanks again Jane
