Thanks for finding the JAMES'S for me. Thanks also for your helpful email suggesting places to look. I'm sorry to be a nuisance, but if you're not too busy could you please try to find the name of GEORGE JAMES'S parents - he was born in 1852 in MINEHEAD, SOMERSET. I have tried to find them myself, but I keep hitting a brick wall - I have names of various James's in Minehead that could be related, but no conclusive evidence. Thanks again - you're a saint. Kaye

Hi Margaret The Colthorpes were born in the Ispwich area. I know that Florence was born in the Woodbridge registration district in a place which I think is called Kirton (I cannot make it out clearly on the birth certificate). Hi Margaret Would be it possibly to find any families with the surname crook living in Leckhampstead Buckingham on the 1871 census please. Its only a small place. If this is not possible then i would appreciated it if you could look for: George Crook B: 1833 Leckhampstead. He is married to Emma B: 1833 Addbury Oxford Also another: George Crook (prooving to be a pain!) B: 1835 Leckhamstead. Not found since 1851 when he was with his parents william crook B: 1806 Leckhampstead & Hannah B: 1807 Northampton nth. His occ was a Ag.Lab if that helps.
