Hello there This is so kind of you to offer help. Bless you. My Fathers Family He was born in 1927 Stanley thomas Watkins..my problem is my Grandfather was James but l have no idea of my grandmothers name. But both my grandparents were married before they married and had my father and his brother Jim l think he was called. Both had other children from their first marriages. Grandad Gran and Jim were deceased before l was born. I have spent many hours on here with no luck. Stuck in limbo, Knowing my grandmothers name would be a joy to me. Hi, Lets see if we can narrow these Watkins down a bit, do you have any idea where Stanley was born, perhaps that would help in finding James marriage? Unfortunately Stanley will be too early for me to find on a census. If you know his birthplace though perhaps I'll be able to find James on the 1901 in that area Regards Ann

Hi Ann, Could you possibly find James and Jane Mason and their family on the 1871 census. James was born i think in Elvington Yorks and would be 42, Jane was born Fulford Yorks and would be 40.They were married in Wigginton Yorks, and were there in 1881, so i'm hoping they were there in 1871. Thank you for your kind offer, Ann. Could you possibly look up Daniel Felix Haines b1843 Bermondsey, London and his second wife Eliza Sophia Haines (nee Jater)b1854 in Kennington, London. Eliza's parents were John Robert Jater and Eliza Tibalds. I would be particularly interested to know where Eliza was as a child and whether she had any siblings. I have all this info on 1881 but haven't been able to find any of their deaths. I would really appreciate your help if you have time. Many thanks Sue H
