HI Max Thank you for your kind offer (esp as Westminster have old fashioned microfilm readers!!!!!) I have found the marriage of my Elizabeth Lees and William Fitch, but haven't been able to get to Westminster for a while to look for the birth of Elizabeth (William was born in Suffolk..so another place to visit for me!!!) If you would be so kind, please look for the birth of Elizabeth Lees.... born about 1804. She got married on 20/6/1824 in St Martin in the Fields. However, their children were christened at St Anne's so I'm not sure where her baptism would be. Unfortunatley, I can't tell you what is said on the 1841 census, as it is annoyingly missing , but the marriage address was 42 Princes Street (now Wardour Street) . She died in 1843 (aged 39), so it looks like I will never have a census for her, unless the records office somehow find the missing census. Many thanks Sarah |

Hello Max You're a star!! Hope you had a good break from work - all these look-ups are going to keep you busy. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say we really appreciate you giving up your free time to help out. No rush for my look up mate- just as and when if possible. Take care. If you're ever in Wiltshire there's a sticky bun and a hot cuppa waiting for you. Debs |

Bloomin' hell, when I last looked there were only 16 requests! These are going to take me some while to go through as I can only visit during my lunch hour and after work when they are open until 7pm, but I will do my best to get through them all during the course of the next few days. Sorry I've not replied yet but I'm not back to work until tomorrow! max xx |

Max Thanks for your kind offer. Hope you can fit this one in. I'm looking for the birth of William August Howe in Westminster in about 1818. Thanks for the offer Max: If you are going to the Westminster office can you see if there is a death index for St James's Church,Westminster. I am looking for Martha Bolton or Boulton. I have her 1826 baptism record for that church. I think the parents Thomas and Helen named a child born in 1840 after her. I know the Boltons lived in Bury Street in 1828 and later moved to Angel Court,King Street. Thanks Frank. |

Hi Max, A big thank you for making such an offer. I have one relative i would like to know a bit more about if possible. On the 1881 census ref: rg11 0094/39 33 my ggggrandfather Thomas Burbidge is listed as a licenced victualler at King st Mews, St George Hanover Sq. The property is called Kings Head. The property before it is number 23 Kings st mews, and the one after is 36 King st mews - so i am assuming it is a sizeable property - perhaps a pub or inn, but cannot find it listed in any of the lists available to me. So would like to know if possible anything you can find on this place - he is listed as having a servant and a coachman as well. This address is no longer in existance so would also love to know where it was if possible. Thomas was reputed to be one tough fellow who was financially stable and my gggrandfather ( one of his sons, Andrew) was supposedly disinherited for running off with a servant of some kind. When the other family members talked of Andrew apparently he was thereon referred to as the "poor relation" So if you are able to find anything that may help me peice together where he lived i will be able to see how much of that story is likely to be correct. But only if you truely do have the time. Many thanks kind Max. Rachel |

You probably won't be able to help because it isn't a very clear search. Looking for the marriage of John/Jean DUSOLEI/DUSOLAI/DUSOLEIL/DUSOLIE/DU SOLEIL and Marie/Mary ??? before 1752 at St Anne, Soho Westminster. I also noticed that marriages for that parish are indexed from 1784 onwards. Could you please look for any DUSOLEI/DUSOLIE/DUSOLAI/DU SOLEIL/DUSOLEIL marriages between 1784 - 1821? The easiest one you could do, and be a great help too, is to look up the marriage details of James PHILLIPS and Jane DUSOLEI, 28 Feb 1824 at St Anne Soho. Like witnesses etc. Please!!! Chloe |

Hi Max. Would you be kind enough to look for Charles Day in the parish records? He was born in about 1845 in Westminster. I can't find a birth certificate for him, and unfortunately a lot of the indexes are now illegible for his surname around that date, so I would be very, very grateful if you could find anything. I think his father's name is William, but his mother's name is not known (yet!) If you find anything I will let you have one of my many Terry's Chocolate Oranges. You can even have a choice of dark, milk or white chocolate. Can't say fairer than that now, can I? :-) Merry Christmas, Sharon |
